Research Week Trivia Night

Join us on Monday, April 12 from 6-7 p.m. EST for the inaugural Statler College's WVU Research Week trivia event sponsored by the Statler College Research Office. This fun, virtual, zoom-based event will test your knowledge of research and STEM related trivia, as well as more general topics including WVU and the Statler College. This event is open to students, faculty and staff from Statler, as well as across the university! Prizes will include gift cards and Statler College t-shirts. Keep up with this event, and more, by following the Statler College on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram!

Sponsored by WVU Statler College's Research Office

Register as a team or individual

Teams should be comprised of groups of five, and should be majority students, but can include faculty and staff (we'd love to see your whole research or project team involved!). People from other colleges are welcome to join, but your team must be majority Statler College related. When registering, you'll need to register your complete team at one time. If you have changes after form submission, you can email Statler-Info@mail.wvu.edu, and we can make adjustments.

You will need your team's complete information to register, including first and last name of each team member, an email address and whether they are student or faculty or staff. Please make sure that only one representative registers each team.

If you are interested in participating, but don't have a team of five, you will have the option to register as an individual, and we will help connect you with teams that need additional members! We would love to have you involved!

All team members will be emailed the competition zoom link after noon on Monday, April 12. Please ensure that all email addresses are correct!

Submit a trivia question

To ensure a broad base of questions and engineering-related topics, we are asking that you submit questions that may be used in the event. We are looking for research/STEM-related questions and also WVU or college-related questions too!

On the below form, you will be asked to submit a question, answer and a source so that we can fact check the answer before considering it for use in the trivia game. We will credit you if we use your question.

Deadline to submit questions is Monday, April 5, 2021 at noon EST.

Registered Teams

As we receive team registrations, we will post the team name and members here. You can check out how much competition you will have, as well as ensure we have received your team's registration. We will update this daily. After the event, we will post the names of the winning teams here, as well!
