Transportation

Getting to Morgantown

Morgantown is located in the northern part of West Virginia (five miles from Mason-Dixon Line) at the intersection of interstate highways I-79 and I-68. The city is conveniently located approximately 75 miles (120 km) from Pittsburgh (PA) International Airport (code PIT); about 200 miles (320 km) from Dulles International Airport (code IAD), in Washington, D.C.; about 300 miles (483 km) from Niagara Falls, New York; approximately 380 miles (611 km) from Newark Liberty International Airport (cod EWR), in Newark, New Jersey; and about 400 miles (643 km) from John F. Kennedy International Airport (cod - JFK), in New York, New York.

Flight

The closest airport to the meeting headquarters is Hart Field Morgantown Municipal Airport (code MGW). Daily flights are offered to and from the Washington D.C. Dulles International Airport and Pittsburgh International Airport. The conference center is about 10 minutes away (by bus or taxi) from Hart Field Airport.

Bus

For ease of convenience, the Grey Line Mountain Bus runs a shuttle from Pittsburgh International Airport to Morgantown at least twice a day. The nearest shuttle stop is Mountaineer Station from the conference venue. View the Route 29 Schedule.

The Greyhound bus also stops at Mountaineer Station in Morgantown, WV.

Train

Connellsville, Pennsylvania, and Greensburg, Pennsylvania, have Amtrak stations that are located 37 miles (59.2 km) and 64 miles (102.4 km) from Morgantown, respectively.

PRT

Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) system is a unique on-demand automated means of transportation for Morgantown community to travel inside the city. It connects Downtown, Evansdale (Evansdale Crossing) and Health Sciences (Mountaineer Station) campus of West Virginia University. You can travel through PRT from Mountaineer Station to Evansdale Campus for free to arrive at the conference venue.
