Once students matriculate from the Fundamentals of Engineering Program into their major discipline, they are assigned an academic advisor. An academic advisor will guide students during their time in the Statler College. Students can email Statler-AdvisingCenter@mail.wvu.edu if they cannot find their advisor assignment.
All advisors within the Statler College Advising Center are well-equipped to assist students in any of the Statler College majors. However, each advisor has a focus area on one or more specific majors:
- Michelle Poland - All majors, and all incoming Transfer students
- Kristin Brewster - Lane majors and undecided engineering students
- Jenn Jones - Lane majors
- David Lasota - Civil, Mining, Petroleum, Biomedical, Chemical, and Industrial
- Dominique Mick - Civil, Mining, Petroleum, Biomedical, Chemical, and Industrial
- Marilyn Munzer - Civil, Mining, Petroleum, Biomedical, Chemical, and Industrial
- Chris Randall - Lane majors
- Emily Shope - Mechanical, Materials and Aerospace Engineering
- Lauren Stein - Mechanical, Materials and Aerospace Engineering
