Favorite Thing About WVU and Statler College

My favorite thing about WVU is the extent of opportunity here. There are over 450 student organizations, and it is considered an R1 research school. WVU has many programs and pathways tailored to a student's interests, such as a pre-medical track, study abroad programs, an ASPIRE office, and an undergraduate research office.

My favorite thing about Statler College is the leadership and the number of resources available to its students. I am a pre-med engineering student, and the advisors are very knowledgeable in leading me to take the right steps. My advisor created a plan enabling me to finish my major and minor while also taking medical school prerequisites all in 4 years. The professors, staff, and administration are friendly and willing to help you achieve your goals. Statler College has a very welcoming environment.

Advice for Prospective Students

Come into college with an open mind and don't be afraid to get involved around the university. Join the organizations and sports you're interested in. It's a great way to quickly make friends and be a part of a community.
