Internship or Co-op Experience

Over the last 2 summers I have worked at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab, working as a Materials and Processing Engineer manufacturing composite materials. During my time I worked on making parts for NASA's Dragonfly project.

Fun Fact

I was on WVU's URC team when we won the world championship!

Favorite Thing About WVU and Statler College

I really enjoy how the campus is split up, having Evansdale separate from Downtown gives WVU a small campus feel within a large university. This means you are constantly seeing people you know and gives you an opportunity to make a lot of friends.

There is so many opportunities within Statler to grow yourself as a student and as a person. If you have an interest in engineering there is almost always an org or a professor working on a project that addresses that interest.

Advice for Prospective Students

Get involved early and consider joining both an organization related to your major and one outside your field of study! While it can be daunting getting involved with Statler orgs, they will really help you grow both as a student and help you grow your network. Picking an org outside your comfort zone will also help you gain a broader perspective and allow you to connect with people you wouldn't normally meet!
