Favorite Thing About WVU and Statler College
My favorite thing about WVU is the sense of community on campus. Being a mountaineer is all about helping others and it is seen day to day everywhere on campus. I love being able to come together in student orgs and sporting events to celebrate the meaning of being a Mountaineer and knowing I am never truly alone here at WVU. The connections the university has brought me are unforgettable and I am forever grateful. My favorite thing about the Statler College is the endless opportunities for students. Student organizations are a great way to become involved and make connections that can guide and support you throughout your time here. The organizations can lead you to different opportunities that you never thought you would have the chance to do, and learn more about your field and what you are specifically interested in.
Advice for Prospective Students
I would tell students to get involved as soon as you can. Your involvement can guide you to other opportunities you may not hear about otherwise. Taking the steps to become involved can help you become better acclimated to campus and the environment more quickly by finding people who can help lead and guide you through your first steps at the school.
