Favorite Thing About WVU and Statler College

My favorite thing about WVU is the sense of community across campus. Students here truly embody what it means to be a Mountaineer by always uplifting and helping others. Whether it's through student organizations, events, or just day-to-day interactions, there's a genuine spirit of collaboration and support. It's not just about academics, but about building lasting connections and being part of something bigger than yourself.

My favorite thing about the Statler College of Engineering is the abundance of opportunities it offers. Whether it's through hands-on projects, research, or student organizations, there’s always something that helps push me to grow as both an engineer and a person. The staff and faculty are incredibly supportive and genuinely invested in my success, creating an environment that challenges me while also helping me develop the skills and mindset I need to succeed. It's a place where I feel empowered to take on new challenges and reach my full potential as an engineer!

Advice for Prospective Students

One piece of advice I’d give to prospective engineering students is to make time for your passions and hobbies outside of engineering. While academics are important, it’s the things you do outside of class, whether it’s sports, art, music, or other hobbies, that can really fuel your creativity and innovation as an engineer. The diverse experiences and perspectives you gain from these activities can help you think outside the box, solve problems in new ways, and ultimately become a more well-rounded and innovative engineer!
