Favorite Thing About WVU and Statler College
I love the community that WVU provides and the school enthusiam that every Mountaineer carrys with pride. I can see the school spirit everyday simply walking around campus and the school is especially ecstatic on home football games.
Advice for Prospective Students
My biggest piece of advice would be to get involved and not be afraid to put yourself out there to meet new people. Going into my freshman year, I went on a WVU Adventure trip that I was originally not looking forward to, and I was honestly pretty nervous to go on. I ended up having the best time of my life, and the friends I made on that trip are still my closest friends to this day.
The clubs at WVU are also very inviting and genuinely want to teach and share their knowledge. From my first meeting of the Society of Women Engineers, I knew I was part of an amazing community that has allowed me to connect with women across many different engineering fields. Through Design, Build, Fly Club, I’ve learned so much about aircraft design and gained experience with tools I now use every day in my classes.
