$83.7 billion energy investment boosts state, WVU on world stage
West Virginia’s presence on the world energy stage jumped significantly on November 9 as China Energy Investment Corp. Ltd., one of the world’s largest energy companies and a long-time research and development partner of West Virginia University, announced an agreement that will bring $83.7 billion to the state.

WVU finishes first, third in national mine rescue contest

WVU sent two teams to the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration–Eastern Collegiate Mine Rescue Organization National Mine Rescue Contest in Beckley, October 27-28. Both ended up on the winner’s platform.
