Girls' STEM Day

Girls' STEM Day

Saturday, April 23

Girls’ STEM Day is an activity-filled, free event for girls’ grades K-5 to learn about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics). The participants will be broken up into their age groups (K-1, 2-3, 4-5) and participate in 4 different activities. The theme for the event is women in STEM. Each activity will introduce at least one woman innovator so participants can learn about women who have made an impact in STEM.

There will be breakfast (donuts) and lunch (pizza) provided for all participants. Free t-shirts will be given to all participants. A parent program will be planned for those parents who choose to stay. A panel of students, alumni, and professors will have an informational presentation and Q&A.

The event will take place on April 23rd from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at WVU’s Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources. Registration will open early March.

Registration will be open until April 4 or until we reach capacity.
