Certificate in Global Competency
The Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources offers a Certificate in Global Competency as a supplement to those choosing to participate in a Study Abroad. The certificate can typically be completed with a minimal addition of credit hours to the undergraduate experience.
Students are required to take a total of 16 credit hours- emphasis in the history, humanities, or language of the host country/region (6 - 9 credit hours)
- engineering coursework containing significant experiential or group/guided design style activities (6 - 9 credit hours)
- social service/civic engagement component (1 credit hour)
