Julie is a Senior Academic Advisor in the Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources at West Virginia University (WVU). She advises sophomore-senior engineering students in the Statler College Advising Center.
Prior to joining the Statler College, Julie previously worked as the Director of Undergraduate Advising and the Director of Admissions and Enrollment for the WVU School of Nursing. Within the School of Nursing, Julie advised all student populations from direct admit freshman through graduating seniors. Building connections with students to assist throughout their academic career is a passion to Julie. During her time at WVU, Julie has served on various campus wide committees such as the Strategic Outreach Council, Graduate Admissions Strategic Action Council, as well as the chair of or an active member of various committees throughout her tenure at the School of Nursing. Julie is also pursuing her PhD in Higher Education Administration at West Virginia University and enjoys learning about student success incentives, retention, and curriculum development.
Originally from western Massachusetts, Julie has enjoyed living in West Virginia for over ten years while raising her daughter and a new pug puppy named Hamilton.
