Dr. Huebsch began his professional career as a Research Assistant for the Department
of Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics at Iowa State University in
1996. In 2000, he became a Temporary Assistant Professor for the department. The
following year, he joined the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at
WVU.
Dr. Huesch has received several awards for his instruction and research over the
years of which include the 2005 SAE Ralph R. Teetor Educational Award, Student
Organization Advisor of the Year (2006-2007), the 2008 WVU Foundation Outstanding
Teacher Award, among others. He is also a senior member of the American Institute
of Aeronautics and Astronautics, having achieved this status in 2009.
