Girl Scout Math and Science Day

Girl Scout Math and Science Day is a day where daisies, brownies, juniors, and cadettes can come together and learn about math, science, and engineering with college-age mentors. After the girls have completed the day, they will receive a patch for this event. This day is meant to be a stimulating day full of activities in order to show just how fun STEM-related activities can be!

The event will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at the Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources at West Virginia University. Registration will begin at 8:30am and last until 9:00am. The day will wind down around 3:00pm. The cost is $10 per girl. Breakfast, lunch, a patch, and a t-shirt will be provided, as well as all of the materials necessary for the activities/experiments. Adults wishing to purchase a t-shirt may do so for $5, and we ask that adults eating lunch donate $5 to help offset costs. We request that there is one chaperone for every 5-10 girls. Any special requests for groups/pairings for the day or other comments should be noted in the comments box on the registration page.

Payments can be made at registration (cash or check made out to WVU SWE, or credit). Deadline for registration is March 27, 2014.
