Li named IEEE Fellow
Xin Li, professor of computer science and electrical engineering at West Virginia University, has been named a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
“I am happy to have my contributions to technical communities’ recognized by this organization,” said Li, “and I am honored to be selected as an IEEE Fellow.”
Li received his doctorate in electrical engineering from Princeton in 2000 and started his career at Sharp Laboratories of America in Camas, Washington. He has been a faculty member in the Lane Department at WVU since 2003.
IEEE is the world's largest technical professional organization whose mission is to encourage its members to revolutionize technology for the benefit of humanity. Li will be recognized for his elevation to Fellow status at one of IEEE’s international conferences in 2017. He is the second WVU professor to be elevated to Fellow status with IEEE this year.
