Corporate Relations and Career Assistance

The Corporate Relations and Career Assistance Program provides students with opportunities for practical, real-world experience through several different programs, and helps them find great jobs after graduation. The program also assists employers in finding talented students for internships, co-ops, and permanent positions, and hosts an annual engineering and computer science career fair that draws hundreds of employers and thousands of students.

Career Fair

The Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources Career Fair is held on the engineering campus in late September or early October of each year. More than 130 employers, representing military, government, and the private sector, recruit for internships, co-ops, and permanent positions during the two-day event. Many contact individual on-campus interviews during a third day.

How to Register

The registration process for our Career Fair has been streamlined using our new online career assistance software, MountaineerTRAK. You can access the MountaineerTRAK homepage by clicking here. If you are already registered with MountaineerTRAK, simply log in and scroll over "Career Fairs and Events." Then select "Register" for the day you wish to attend. If you are not registered with MountaineerTRAK, select "Click here to register!" on the login page and follow the online instructions. Once you complete your MountaineerTRAK registration, follow the instructions above to register for the career fair.

Permanent Employment

Many companies recruit on our campus and specifically seek out our graduates. Most of our students receive at least one job offer before they graduate. Job placement among our students is very high, with some departments approaching 100%.
