The WVU Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources will host its official Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 18, 2013, at 1 p.m., at the WVU Coliseum. The ceremony will be followed by a College-wide reception at the Shell Building behind the Coliseum, to which all graduates and families are invited.
Graduates and their families will be receiving an official letter of invitation to Commencement, but the ceremony is open to all. Faculty are encouraged to attend to help us congratulate our students on their accomplishment.
Faculty who wish to walk in the procession with their department graduates must wear regalia and should report to the Red Gate along with their department's graduates.
We are looking forward to a memorable day, and we very much hope that you and your family will be able to join us. No tickets or reservations are required, and there is ample seating at the Coliseum.
GradImages is the official photographer for our Commencement. Proofs will be sent to your home and via email within three to five days after graduation. Pictures can be ordered online, by phone, or by mail. Graduation Images can be contacted at 800-261-2576 or via email at www.gradimages.com.

Students planning to attend the ceremony are requested to fill out the registration form.
8 a.m. and 11 a.m. - The WVU Alumni Association will be hosting a Commencement Brunch at the Erikson Alumni Center. There will be two seatings. Graduates of the WVU Class of 2012-2013 will receive complimentary brunch when accompanied by two adults. Brunch prices are per person:
Adults $35
Children ages 3-12, the cost is $10.
Children 2 and under eat free.
Space is limited and pre-registration is required by May 13, 2013.

What to wear - Graduates must wear traditional regalia (academic caps and gowns), which can be purchased at the downtown or Evansdale WVU Bookstore, (304) 293-7467.
All Statler College graduates should wear caps with orange tassels (except Arts and Sciences computer science graduates, who should wear caps with gold tassels).
Under the gowns, men should wear dark slacks and dress shoes. Women should wear dresses or dark slacks and shoes.
Parking - Ample free parking will be available at the Creative Arts Center and the Coliseum, and all University lots will be free and open to the public during Commencement weekend.
December 2012 Convocation - Potential December graduates of the Statler College will receive an invitation at their local address to participate in the December Convocation, scheduled for Sunday, December 9, 2012, at 1:30 p.m., at the WVU Coliseum. The College will host a reception prior to the event at the Erickson Alumni Center from 10 a.m.-noon.
